Plockton Music School – National School of Excellence in Traditional Music
School Tour 2017
The National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music at Plockton High School is the centre where talented young musicians from throughout Scotland can come and develop their skills. Come and hear them perform as part of their national tour in the Scottish Borders.
The concert will feature a number of students in various combinations, including them playing all together in a powerful finale. The Centre teaches accordion, clarsach, fiddle, pipes, piano, guitar, whistle, flute, and Scots and Gaelic song, and all of these will feature strongly on the programme. All of the youngsters are multi-talented and there are a few other instruments involved as well, so there really is something for everybody in the show!
